Enchanted Kingdom Philippines

From the extreme drop tower to giant swing rides, last Saturday was definitely a day of all in fun and excitement for us.  And even though Enchanted Kingdom is almost 20 years old now, the amusement and pleasure it gives never really tainted. I think it’s a wonderful place to test your courage and audacity to overcome any heart-stopping activities that may come in our lives.

The Space Shuttle

For me, it’s the most extreme ride at EK and definitely not recommended for those who have a weak heart. It’s about 2-minute ride but every up-side-down turns is life-threatening. Not to brag but my friend (Eman) and I dared to ride this extreme adventure twice. And I have to say, the front row seats are the best position of this ride.

Flying Fiesta
An exciting swing ride that jolts the rider as it gradually increases its rotation speed and tilts, creating a wave-like motion.  I think this is one of the rides that any kids and kid-at-heart would love to try.

Enchanted Kingdom is located at Sta. Rosa City, Laguna and just about 30-45 minutes ride from Manila. A shuttle service to EK is available at the Intercontinental Hotel, open parking, Ayala Center (beside SM City Makati, across Ayala MRT station and EDSA car park) Php 150/one way or Php 350/ round trip. First trip starts at 10:30AM and it is first come, first serve.

Entrance fee at Enchanted Kingdom is Php 680 for one day ride-all-you-can. However, there are some theatres or park zones that require separate fee.  For shuttle service, park schedule and list of ride & attractions, you may visit their website at www.enchantedkingdom.ph.

The Disk-O Magic Ride
This is where riders sit on a circular platform with outward-facing seats. It’s my favorite among all the rides at EK because it’s perfectly situated inside the theme park where every time the platform moves to the peak of the half-pipe track while spinning, you get to see the beautiful view of the entire park zone. And just like the Space Shuttle, I tried this ride twice.
Combined trilling and excitement, my friend Xania (wearing a V-cut pink shirt) was shouting at the top of her lungs. For someone who's not into extreme rides, I'm sure this was one of her proudest moments.
I have to thank my friends and one of my favorite couples (Anne & Eman) for inviting me on this one extremely shocking yet very exciting day. It's definitely a day worth remembering.
For me, only those who has the courage to take risk can possibly find out how far one can go. As the quote says, "Life is about daring adventure or nothing at all".
